I came to Milan from St-Moritz with my older daughter Nadia on a Sunday. I wanted to buy a map of Milan but I could not find any garages that were open on this particular Sunday. So, I had to get to the city with no map.We had a great Italian meal served by very friendly Vietnamese people. We left the waiter some Canadian money and he gave Nadia a Vietnemese wind chime.

When we left I was making a left turn when a car came straight behind me on the left and almost hit me. I did not know who was in the wrong. I thought I was in the turning lane. Scary. Later on, I tried to get out of town and go to Genoa but I kept driving by the sign and missing the turn. I just felt that the signs were very confusing. Italy... I guess.

I finally asked a couple and they pointed where I should go and it worked.

I did not really want to go to Genoa but to the Italian Riviera. Again, I missed the turn and ended up in this beautiful port city. First thing you see when you come from the east and you enter the city is the Porto Vecchio. Once a glorious and wealthy city We looked for an hotel but they were too expensive so we left.

I wanted to see as much of the Italian Riviera as we could so when I got out of Genoa I took the slower highway that follows the Mediterranean sea. I picked those pictures below because they represent the region well.
