My Trip and Pictures to Funchal, Madeira

The trip to Funchal as always holds a special place in my heart because this was my first trip by myself. It was like a coming of age for me. I stayed in a three star hotel dowtown Funchal with a pool on top and I had room service. The mega hotels, casinos were incredibly beautiful for someone who had never got out of La prairie, PQ.

I loved all the tropical and gorgeous flowers such as the bird of paradise in the island. I also went to visit the fish market. The food in restaurants was quite good. I also bought a lot of good fruits back to the hotel.

I had two really bad experiences while I was there. One time I accepted a ride in the little mini-cooper back then It was called a mini-austin. The guy put his hand on my knee. I left later I saw him hidden between two buildings. I got scared, I did not want him to know where I was staying.

Another time, I went to a bar and a girl befriended me. She orders all sorts of drinks then they bill you. Overall It was a great trip
