the 12 Apostles "began to speak", they did it!
Otherwise it is possession and GOD, the real GOD and Father of our Lord Jesus

Let's read: "began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance".
The fact of speaking was their responsibility but the content of what they said
was and still is from GOD!

The holy spirit is the gift of God. Our Real God never possesses people
because God respects the free will.
The gift of holy spirit is given by God who is Holy Spirit (note the capitals
here). I Speak in Tongues by my free will, because a gift is your only own
responsibility to use it or not to use it. If somebody gives you a pen? Are you
obliged by the giver to use it? NO!

It is clear that we can freely decide if we are going to believe in the so
called "science", which is a blind process of error and trying, again
and again, like a blind man, or if we are going to believe the Bible. God and
His Word were here even before the earth, or even before any hypothetical or
real "Association of Psychiatrists", as you mention.
I personally am a scientist.
That is not a boasting by the contrary, it is to build up every other person
new to Speaking in Tongues and reading your message.
I believe that the Bible has an answer for everything, and is the foundation of
everything.

Answer to
Jjpalazzini,
First of all because of your way of writing it is clear that you lack of the
spiritual fruit of love.
Second, I am a scientist and above that, I am a believer in the Word of God,
the Bible.
Thanks God that millions of people of any color or background believe today in
the New Birth and in Speaking in Tongues, on doing that we act with obedience
to our Lord and Master, who died for us and who was raised to live for ever.
People with thoughts like yours are still minorities.
We strive to witness to anybody else wanting to hear, if you don't, just delete
this e-mail and don't answer to it and don't torment yourself by reading this
kind of Message Boards, by other side, I pray that some day you may want to
know what God's Word really says.

do, manifest some day the Power from on High in its full capacity.
I still working on my believing, though in many of the other of the nine in
total manifestations of the gift of holy spirit.
But I know now that is a process of learning, of believing and of acting
according to God's Word.
So we both say to the Christians that still don't believe that there is more
from God to them: open your hearts to the precious gift of holy spirit and
enjoy also of the fruit of the spirit: Love, Peace, Joy, etc., as it is written
in Gal. 5:22-23.

Again I need to tell you that in Corinth (and today in catholic charismatic
groups and in pentecostal groups) everybody speak in tongues at once, but Paul needed
to correct that by saying that they needed to keep it:
Decently and in Order, One by One, and at the most three speaking in tongues
with interpretation manifesting in a Church Meeting and at the most three
giving Word of Prophecy.
And the same person giving the manifestation of tongues is the same that
interprets. Please, read carefully by yourself 1 Corinthians 14, the full
chapter to see this truth.
Because of the great disorder in Corinth and in other pentecostal and catholic
groups the people that is new to Speaking in Tongues sometimes gets scared to
do that.
Go back to the roots of the sound teaching of the Bible and regard that
chapter, I beg you! Does not matter what the Church Leader may have to say it
is THE WORD OF GOD what really matters.
The spiritistic-spiritualistic falsifications of the adversary tries to get as
closer as possible as to he original to be fully "convincing", but
only with our dedication to study the Bible, we would be able to tell the great
difference.

Let's take a look at Acts for a moment, where this whole 'speaking in tongues'
action happens. Acts 2:2 mentions 'tongues of fire,' but no speaking... Acts
2:8 the question from the crowd is posed "And how is that we hear, each in
our own language in which we were born?" Even Acts 11 states "Cretans
and Arabs -- we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of
God." Please leave your incessant yodeling at home, thank you...

I just wanted to share the blessings of Speaking in Tongues in my personal
life, and I pray with holy spirit (as Jude, verse 20, Ephesians 6:18 and 1 Cor.
14:14-15, teach us to do).
Praying with holy spirit is to pray in tongues, also for those harsh Christian
believers that take Hackman's position, even when the Bible clearly says:
"DO NOT FORBID TO SPEAK WITH TONGUES" ! (1 Cor. 14:39).

is that many people at least have been reading about the Speaking in Tongues. For
example ask to yourself: Do you believe? If not, don't even answer, just delete
it and forget it. But I know of the blessings of manifesting the gift of holy
spirit from the same God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the same that
resurrected Jesus from the dead (as Mel Gibson is telling to everybody in his
movie). Did you see that movie?

I agree: 50 days from Passover, but I am talking there of 10 days after JC
Ascension to Heaven.
Is wonderful that the statement of prayer in holy spirit can be found within
Eph. 6:18, which Bereans hold in high esteem and also in Jude verse 20, which
Christian-Jews have in high esteem.
The explanation of God about the meaning of prayer in holy spirit can be found
in 1 Cor. 14:14-15.
Finally, is clear that the Bible affirms: "he who speaks in a tongue
edifies himself" so we have here a complement for Jude verse 20:
"building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in holy
spirit"
And yes, you are right in the point that LOVE is the key way to manifest any of
the NINE EVIDENCES that we have the gift of holy spirit within.
And is beautiful that you stated at the end: LIVE TO GLORIFY GOD!

The way to Heaven
is through salvation.
All
you must do in order to be saved is believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross
for your sins, confess your sins, and believe that he has come into your heart
to save you. God gave the greatest gift that anyone could ever give his
son Jesus Christ, when he stretched out his arms and died he showed us that he
loved us that much. John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world that he gave his
only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish but have
ever lasting life. There is nothing in us that can save us only Jesus'
blood can save us from eternal damnation. Therefore salvation is not
through works it is through believing on his name. A works salvation is false
and is explained in the whole book of Galatians. Galatians 1:10 states that we
are to please God not man.
We cannot save ourselves therefore we can never do anything to… loose it.
Romans 8: 35-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall
tribulation or distress”... vs. 39 “Nor height nor depth, nor any other
creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ
Jesus our Lord”.
It's so simple all you must do is believe on him and confess that's it nothing
else. He loves you sooooo much!

spirit granted by Jesus to his followers so they would be able to go into all
the world and speak the language of the people they would be witnessing
to. Quite a miracle, for an uneducated fisherman like Peter, for example,
to become a great missionary in lands he had never seen, and where he did not
know the language.

My only question is how can the people denying the availability today of
Speaking in Tongues understand the wonderful and powerful Biblical scriptures
like Jude verse 20, Ephesians 6:18, and 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 (please, read
carefully them).
Today, I was checking that even R. A. Torrey declared that he also longed that
the Church as a Body should learn to "Pray in holy spirit", and he
provides the verse Col. 3:16 as complementing Eph. 5:18-19 related to “singing
in the spirit”, the most beautiful melody in the ears of God!

Regarding the "S" and the "s" the Greek text and the
outstanding studies of E. W. Bullinger on the holy spirit demonstrate that
"S" refers to the giver: "God" which is Holy and which is
Spirit, however the "s" refers almost all the times to the gift of
God, as when JC declared:
"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the

Thanks to the resurrection of Jesus Christ we have today a more than abundant
life in the gift of holy spirit, and no matter what people had to say, the Word
of God stands firm.
I don't justify myself in any way, I am a poor and insignificant person, I
don't have any reason to be proud of myself, I have received so many e-mails
that I even confound who submitted to me what, but I am Proud of God and of his
great son, my Lord and Savior, my Brother Jesus Christ!
If you want to argue, don't argue with me, I did not wrote those things that
are in the Bible, God revealed them. If you think that Jesus Christ is God,
again as many persons that follow doctrinal religions, the Bible clearly says
reiterated times that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, but not God Himself.
I Pray in Tongues for you that God may reveal to you His truth, if you really
want it, but if not because you already have all of it, why bother Him? I Pray
in the spirit for you anyway, because I don't know you, but God really does,
and He can take a good care of you better than any human.
As you have also stated, sorry if this e-mail offends you in any way, that is
not the intention, the intention is to use my freedom of speech to witness with
the best of my ability of the greatness of God's gift.
I thank God that 95 % of the personal e-mails received are from people that
already does the Speaking in Tongues, 3 % are from people like your e-mail, and

It is clear that to pray IN the spirit is different than to pray TO the Spirit.
The Greek text of the Bible says IN the spirit (not capitals in the Greek

understanding, today we have BOTH of them (1 Cor. 14:14-15) but if we decide to
despise one of them, IT is our privilege, after all this is a Gift from God,
and you can do whatever you decide with a gift, use it or leave it.
By the way, if you don't believe in Speaking in Tongues why you bother yourself
by reading this Message Board? Leave alone the Believers that really want to
manifest holy spirit and do yourself whatever you decide to do with the gift
from God, use it or leave it, don't even bother yourself in answering back, as

The point is not if the revelation given to one man is more important than the
revelation given to another man by our very same God.
Jesus Christ was the redeemer and his life was the price for us to be saved AND
to receive the gift of holy spirit.
God is the one behind what Jesus said and what Paul said, was not Paul's or
Jesus' own ideas.
I need to quote again for you, Paul clearly says in 1 Cor. 14:14-15,
"If I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is
unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I
will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will
also sing with the understanding".
So, what you have said is completely true, and corresponds to our praying with
our understanding, but that is only 50 % of the Amazing Power of Prayer that we
have today, the other half is the Speaking in Tongues, which is the only way to
pray in holy spirit as to pray in our mind is the only way for us to pray with
our understanding.
So, beloved believers please, do not dismiss one of the two kinds of prayer
that we have today and exalt the other. BOTH are important and BOTH are given
to us from God. So, if the cost of the gift of holy spirit was the precious
life and resurrection of Jesus Christ (and even Mel Gibson knows that), why we
don't go one step further, going beyond "The Passion" and seek by
ourselves WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN TO US and that is written in his Word,
because of the complete obedience of Jesus Christ, our substitute.

Wow, my wife dragged
me to see "The Passion of the Christ," directed and written by Mel
Gibson. This movie dashed what little faith I had going into the movie. The
best short answer to describe the movie is extreme overkill. There is more
bloodletting in this show than in all 5 of the Rocky movies put together. It is
more believable that Rocky actually beat Apollo Creed than it is that Christ
could have endured all that torture. I'm no doctor but I believe that if
Gibson's rendition is true, Christ would have bled to death approximately 30
minutes after the beating by the Roman soldiers began. Then Christ wouldn't
have lived long enough to be crucified, and the Christian faith would never
have been born. Maybe that's how it should have happened? Anyway, I didn't see
any anti-Semitism in the show. The Jews led by “Caiaphas” demanded that Christ
be crucified, and they were not presented in a favorable light, but it is not
believable that so many people would have stood idly by while the most inhumane
treatment to another human being took place for what; for claiming to be the
Son of God? Nay it's just not believable…

What about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and of the manifestation of the
gift of holy spirit after that? As we read in the Bible even if the movie don't
show it. Isaiah says that Jesus was so deformed that Jesus even lost his human
appearance (Is. 53:2, 5; Is. 1:6, etc.) Remember that JC blood was perfect and
clean as was Adam's before his fall. And that means that no recessive or
"weak" genes where in JC, so, he endured everything for the love of
you and of me.

doctor? Do you know how long it takes for any given person to bleed to death? Do
you know who Jesus is? If He was an ordinary man, He also could not have walked
on water, He couldn't have healed lepers, He couldn't have brought Lazarus back
from the dead. So, you know, Faith is the key word here. You either believe
that Jesus was the Son of God and capable of any and every miracle that there
is or you don't. If you don't I hope you are very strong because in life we
have to face a lot of unthinkable in-conceived trials ourselves and if we are
we have to face them with, you won't believe how small you really feel and how
hard you will pray for someone to lift you up.

Mel Gibson is sincere but not necessarily accurate in everything that he presents,
I have not yet seen that movie, but I have read the script (it is in the
Bible), and I think that even the movie or these postings can be "eye
opening" for people seeking after truth, love, peace, and all of the
things that God has provided for us in his Word. If the price of the life of JC
provided precious and exceedingly great promises, even to be partakers of the
divine nature, as 2 Peter 1:4 says, and to manifest the free gift of holy
spirit, why don't we take it all and apply it in our daily life?

Yes, I understand what you mean, and that makes more sense than Mel's
sensational crucifixion movie. The biggest problem that I have with the
Christian Right is that they cry at Mel's movie, yet have no compassion for the
ten of thousand innocent civilians killed in the phony Iraq war. I ask you, who
would Jesus bomb? If you believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and you love
Jesus; then you must be opposed to this war. If not, then to me, you are a
hypocrite. If this does not apply to you, then please don't take offense. I
love, respect, and admire the true Christians, who like Jesus are pacifists.

incorruptible, and the mortal Christians alive at that time will be changed, to
became immortal, this is the transformation of our bodies, similar to the
transformation of the body of Christ when he was raised from the dead.
We,
now and even more profusely then, may speak in the tongues of angels (1 Cor.
13:1), but at that heavenly time, the purpose of tongues FOR US, while we were
on earth (to edify our inner man, to remind us of the gift of holy spirit
inside us, to remind us that is Christ in us, our hope of glory), will be no
needed anymore, that function then "shall cease" (1 Cor. 13:8); why?
Because we are going to have our complete spiritual body (Rom. 8:11,
Eph.1:13-14, etc).

is very true (of speaking in tongues), but from my readings and studies of the
Bible it is said in 1 Cor. 12 that not every believers will receive the same
gift. It goes on further to say in chapter 14 that it is good to speak in
tongues, as long as you can translate or have one near, but even then it is
better to prophesy. I see nothing wrong with Speaking in Tongues, as long
as it is the gift you have received. But to walk into a church and hear
people mumbling and groaning, just think of what that is doing to the people
who are their who do not yet believe (1 Cor. 14:9-17). I honestly do
believe that people speak in tongues, however, not everyone. Just my
studies, I'd be glad to hear of yours!
