Days 20 to 23     movin' on
DAYS 20 to 23  (Monday 9th to Thursday 12th July)

Itchy feet and swollen livers have given our travellers the wanderlust as they pack three new locations into four days (and all on a diet of noodle butties).

Have hangover will travel (to get away from said hangover) turns out to be a fruitless mission, as our heroines find that peace and tranquility is not all it's cracked up to be.  After surviving an impressive two days away from a hedonistic lifestyle, they are drawn like moths to a flame back to the world of buckets and strange sounding drinks.

However, their resolve to find a new place of luxury still stands firm and they are off exploring unchartered territory - or has the impetus for moving on again been the fact that the hotel at bottle beach didn't live up to its five star rating? (you could in fact see lots of stars through the leaking roof)

Here is the latest exciting installment, received by e-mail on Friday 20th July.
This is the boat our adventurers chartered to get to Haad Yao.

this adventure begins monday 9th when the 4 breally had to escape haad rin in order 2 make any decisions re. their futures (by this point we were incapable of stringing a sentence together, coordination & the digestion of any solid foods).

in the excitement of venturing 2 pastures new we planned our journies carefully, em organising entertainment and refreshments in prep. 4 our long trek.  having studied the lonely planet from cover 2 cover, we carefully selected our netx destination - haad yao.  it was chosen 4 its beautiful beaches, relaxing atmosphere and detoxifying qualities.

however upon arrival, some 20 minutes after leaving haad rin, em was sorely gutted that the party games and noodle butties had not made it out of the day pack.  not too worry as carl had bequeathed a herbal gift 2 sarah which lifted everyones spirits.  as it turned out, this beautiful chilled beach was a tad too chilled, & the 4 were soon champing at the bit 4 a bit more action.

after 2 nights of hammocking and watching gekkos eating  dragonflies we headed up 2 bottle beach (having had it on good authority from "little paul" that it was chilled and filled with young groovy dudes).  this next journey actually involved a taxi and taxi boat (although em's noodle butties were on their lats legs!) the only accommodation left on bottle beach was a considerable step down from our usual standards thus requiring many many buckets in order 2 b able 2 cope with the horrors of our primitive quarters (1 minging bed, no leccy therefore no fan, communal hole in the ground forcing em 2 slash thru the floorboards!) still a good night was had by all involving many bottles of sang som, herbal remedies and entertainment of 2 fellow scottish lads and 2 mancs.

next morning we headed to kao tao which was our greatest travel  adventure yet as we actually managed 2 leave the island of koh phangan!!

2 b continued ..... next installment regards our outdoor activities!
