I watch it's tender radiance,
as I lay awake in bed.
Leaning up on one elbow,
my hand holds my head.
A beauty, as if still a dream,
the room fills with it's glow.
Driving away dark shadows,
taking worries as they go.
I rub my eyes gently,
as a calmness fills my heart.
A feeling of blissful peace,
that I hope will never part.
All this I see in you,
as your smile warms my life.
Chasing away the worlds turmoil,
I'm free of inner strife.
Words are not enough,
to tell what my heart would say.
To show the happiness you've given me,
while awakening on Valentines day.
