Brown Fehuth of Telgar Weyr

Dam: Kindre's Misty Sunrise Gold Herath
Sire: M'hryn's Classic Bronze Talibenth
Clutch: Pern's 73rd Clutch, Hatched on January 29, 1999
Egg Name: Rumpled Sleeping Pallet Egg

Egg Description:
A woven brown sleeping pallet with bright white bed linnens rumpled upon it sits here in the guise of a dragon egg. Where the soft golden brown thatch is woven into the pallet there is a definate rough texture, but these spots are rare. The majority of the egg is pristine white and smooth, with shadows of grey where the folds would be were this a REAL sleeping pallet. Oddly enough, on one side of the egg, near the bottom is a conglomeration of harper blue in what appears to be the shape of a Journeyman's knot. Of course, that's probably just a trick of the eyes....

Hatching Message:

A deep fissure works its way across the surface of the Rumpled Sleeping Pallet Egg, cleaving the ovoid shape neatly into two very evenly matched halves. The tip of a brown snout appears and gives a huge /push!/, and out the solid-looking brown tumbles, landing flat on his belly.

Hatchling Name: Supple-Sinewed Mahogany Brown Hatchling

Hatchling Description:
Nearly outstripping the smaller bronzes of this clutch, this fellow would be ungainly in size were it not for the well-formed vinculum that has grown beneath his profoundly brown hide. Each motion, be it the stretching of his attenuated throat or the tentative testing of his wings, betrays the musculature below, a symphony of flesh and bone that will in time be an undeniably powerful adult. His hide, however, should not be shunned in favor of the graceful structure below: how could so lustrous a tint be ignored? Convolutions of black and the polished brown of Lemos's most treasured trees have conjoined in resplendent darkness, as though the most gifted of woodcrafters had conspired to wreak an indefectible animated version of dragonkind. The hatchling himself is blissfully blind to his untutored grace, however, and the shadowy substance of his hide and instead shows dignified interest in what transpires about him. He will not be caught unawares.

Impression Message

You feel a touch on your forehead that seems to pass right through your skull and grab you in the middle of your brain. But as disturbing as that may seem, it fills you with a feeling of peace. You can follow the touch back, out of your body to another body that seems to be just as much yours. Thought and feelings mingle, memories and experiences are shared, two beings become one. In the pit of your stomach you feel a hunger unlike any you've ever known, and in your heart you feel a love like none you'll ever know again.

<< I am Fehuth. I'm glad I found you. >>

Dragon Name: Fehuth, pronounced Fay-hooth
Personality:

Fehu represents cattle. In the older Norse civilization, cattle was the symbol of wealth. This rune has some interesting implications because cattle are self-moving and therefore this must have some implications on the type of wealth represented. Cattle also reproduce, so, this can be a symbol of self-replenishing wealth. Wealth takes many forms, but, this rune generally represents the material aspects of wealth. Fehuth will be an unusual sort of dragon, in that he will always be wanting things. Shiny things, dull things, glass things, any sort of thing that might captivate his interest. And it's even better if they belong to /you/. But then again... everything that he has is yours, so what he obtains will also belong to you. After all, you're his mate, his pride, his love, and no one will ever be able to separate you again.

Size: 33 meters
Current Description:

Nearly oustripping smaller bronzes, this fellow would be ungainly in size were it not for the impressive build and form beneath his profoundly dark brown hide. Each motion, be it the arch of his neck or the tenetive reach of his grand wings bely the power of his structure. His hide, however, should not be shunned in favor of the graceful structure below: how could so lustrous a tint be ignored? Convolutions of black and the polished brown of Lemos's most treasured trees have conjoined in resplendent darkness. The swirls of black begin at his snout, running up to his eyeridges and headknobs eventually melding into the rest of his hide, giving him an ebony brown appearance. Fehuth himself is blissfully blind to his untutored grace, however, and the shadowy substance of his hide and instead shows curious interest in what transpires about him.

Fehuth has reached 7 Turns, 9 months, and 19 days old with an impressive length of 33 meters and a wingspan of 54 meters.

Since his hatching, Fehuth has always given his best. To date, he has never been a victim of a major threadfall injury and has kept his lifemate similarly healthy. He loves children and has been known to keep a close eye on Brynn's nephew and neice. He's had little luck with greens, save Dossa's Aminadath. He is frequently entralled with 'things'. Gathers frustrate him greatly as he knows many wares are available, yet not within his sight. Often Bronwynn has heard him lamenting, "Oh, that dragons could fit in the crafter tents. Do you see anything blue? I would like something blue and velvety." Yet of all the thing Bronwynn has collected for him, his favorite is a pair of headknob warmers. The long hours as a watchrider, sitting in crafthall and hold firetowers, prompted Bronwynn to knit. Appearing as two emornous booties, the headknob warmers fit like showercaps and are edged with tassles and beads that clink and tinkle much to Fehuth's delight. Though he has certainly recieved some ridicule, these strange accessories are his prized possesion, having been made by the hands of his beloved lifemate.
