School Bollockarama
This is one of my great essays i did in yr 12 and it is a great study guide okay, so don't say i'm not helping the kiddies with their career choices.
Question Six
Dawe's poetry doesn't really do anything very much at all. Now I could try babbling on about how Dawe's poetry represents a mirror image of modern Australia, or how he represents the common man blah blah, but I have bollocked on in this fashion before just like the teachers told me to and I still achieved a measly five. So if I am only going to get a five when I try and regurgitate the bollocks I am taught I might as well say what I think, get two and be done with it. Dawes poetry doesn't challenge us to become more deeply aware of ourselves and the world we live in which we live. That’s the most stupid thing I have heard today. The reason why people become more deeply of themselves is because they exist. Not reading some poem, if you stabbed them with a knife they would become more deeply aware they exist. Because you can only stab things that exist. When I read 'Enter Without so much as knocking' I didn't think, "Oh my god, how thought provoking and breathtaking. What an intense piece of poetry. Now I am more deeply aware of myself" How can somebody be more deeply aware of themselves. Unless they are running into doors and saying, "wooh man I am not deeply aware of myself I must go and read some of Dawe's poetry."
How could Dawe's poetry make me more deeply aware of the world I live in. He doesn't know what world I live in. Unless he secretly has poems like

now No he just has poems about people working in their gardens, and how that is really great. My Mum works in the garden all the time. I think I might go home and write a poem about it, actually I was thinking of going home and writing a poem and calling it 'Schooliosis Bollocknosis', it is a study on how school is bollocks.
