This is info from an Ebay ad that was selling a Banshee:
A Fiberfab dealer newsletter dated 8-29-66 states that Fiberfab sold the Banshee name to GM and later generations of this car were named "Caribee". I was told about 12 Banshees were made, but ??
Here is an actual Caribee/Banshee that is owned by Michael Luongo:
Michaels info on the car:
The caribee has a ford 302 engine bored, .5 lift cam, aluminum radiator, and 650 cfm carb. The engine was built by Banjo Matthews. The interior has Harley Davidson vinyl and full set of guages. The engine has about 8,000 miles on it. 0-60 takes about 4 seconds. The window is from a 66 corvette. The tail lights and brakes are from a corvette. The front of the car is triumph and the rest of the frame was custom built. The guy who owned it before showed me pictures of one other caribee and said he only was able to find a couple in the US. The car he showed me was made to look more like a corvette with a wide body styling, different lights, and a straighter backend. My car has had three owners. The first builder passed away before completely finishing it. The second owner finished most of the rest and then drove it about 3k miles.
