Fuuko's Battle Skills

Her Psychic Device(s): Her psychic device, the Fuujin, which is sometimes known as the God of Wind in the English dub, (they use both names alternatively) looks like a claw which is wrapped around her right wrist. It has a central stone surrounded by 5 other smaller stones. (Yes, there are 5, not 4. [The anime Fuujin has 4, but the manga has 5] The last one is on the ring part of the Fuujin which she wears around her finger. [Likewise, the anime Fuujin doesn't have this ring part])

The

This device enables the user to control and manipulate the wind currents for both offensive and defensive purposes. It's strength can be increased by replacing the central stone with another or better yet, by obtaining the original gem, which has long been lost.

Fuuko also has another psychic device called the Demon Claw, which, when combined with the Fuujin, creates the Claw of Wind.

Later on, in the second season, Fuuko receives another device called the Shinryoshintou, given to her by a girl called Hisui. (Check out Hisui's profile to find out more. Not up yet)

Second Season MAJOR Spoiler for volume 23. Highlight to read. After Mori escapes from the Hokage, and they are preparing for the final battle, she and Raiha train together, since Raiha is afraid she is not strong enough to last against Mori. After 3 days of intensive training, she manages to beat Raiha, and, as a parting "present", he gives her the central orb of the Fuujin! It turns out that he had been using it to seal his Raijin, a power which even he himself is afraid of.

How she received them: The Fuujin was given to her by Kagerou. (More info can be seen in Fuuko's Profile) The Demon claw she obtained from one of the Three Idiots, Tsumemaru, when they were (easily) defeated. The latter two have already been explained, so I won't state here.

God of Wind Techniques:

Claw of Wind: As aforementioned, when the Demon Claw's orb is placed in the center of the fuujin, to take the place of the central stone, claws made of wind are attached to the device and can be used to pierce the enemy. The claws can also be detached and, by manipulating the wind currents, she enables it to fly through the air and strike the opponent when it is least suspected. This move was first used in her first battle in the Dark Martial Combat against Fujimaru. This Claw of Wind she can detach from the main device and send whizzing towards the opponent, much like darts. This is called the Flying Claw of Wind.

Soul of Wind: The 5 smaller stones are actually the God of Wind (In a way.... it's kinda hard to explain) and look like totally ADORABLE and cuddly white stuffed toys. ^_^. They can talk (In a super kawaii voice too!) and acknowledge her as their rightful master. (Sort of like Recca and his 8 Dragons.) When she picks one of them up, it will curl up into a huge ball which she then throws at her opponent. It rotates so quickly that upon impact the enemy is knocked off balance, out of breath, and, hopefully, unconscious. This was first used in her 2nd battle, against Gashkura.

Miscellaneous: She sends gusts of wind that cut the into enemy like knives and tornadoes to dispatch a group of opponents at one go. (Eg. Reiran Katashiro's puppets)

Some facts about her fighting skills:

1) She originally fought with these throwing spikes called gimlets. She still does, actually, but not as often. She holds them by fitting about four of them in the spaces between her fingers like this:

2) The Spirits of Wind asked her to find the Fuujin's REAL central stone, but as of yet (In the first season) it has still not been found. (The Spirit of Wind can actually TALK to her like any normal human)

3) In volume 18, she is actually able to FLY using the Fuujin to manipulate the wind currents. Actually, she was already able to do this during the 1st book, when she was posessed, but she didn't use this in the Dark Martial Combat anymore.
