Yes, this particular fish was caught off the reclaimed land east of S'pore, Changi, during my 4th offshore fishing trip on 12/2/03.
Brownish in colour, with small blackish brown & white spots on the body, usually with dark brownish-black bars visible on body. Fins with scattered black spots. Often mixed up with 'Greasy Grouper[E. tauvina]' but with larger round spots[sometimes orange-red spots] & w/o white spots.
