Members of the Edward Doty Colony are from Florida's western counties, Walton, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Escambia. The Colony was organized 22 February 1992. We now have 45 members.Meetings are held in Feb,May,Aug,and Nov.Details will be posted as they come available.Meeting places are rotated between Pensacola and Choctawhatchee Bay area. All interested persons and prospective members are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings. DOTY COLONY WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE TWO NEW MEMBERS; Patricia Crumly Passenger George Soule Ruby Flowers Passenger Isaac Allerton I have two applications in Plymouth to be approved. I also am working on three more applications. If we can get them approved it will give Doty Colony 7 new members. The applications are taking about two to three months to proccess in Plymouth.Because of the price increase they are dealing with at least 400 new ones.Also the Florida State Historian was swamped with apps from people trying to beat the deadline.(the deadline has past) I will continue to work with Doty Colony untill a historian is found.
