I ventured on a camping trip , all alone and took my tent I wanted to view nature at its best , so my big decision , and so I left I packed up all my camping gear , and threw it in my car Off to the wild blue younder , I planned to venture far
So I headed up the coast , to see what I could see I wound up one thousand miles from here , thats where I wanted to be There was a park , I was tired , so i decided to stop So quiet , yet so peacefull , so exhausted That I may drop
So I unloaded the car , put up my tent , na neighbors around I looked for campsite poachers , there were none to be found I put my food behind my tent , in a cooler , should be safe Never saw those eyes watching me , so i proceeded to the lake
I looked at all the beauty , nature at it`s best Little did I know , the beasts designed a test I stayed at the lake , to catch a feed of trout Little did i know , I was about to find what caping is all about
Off to the campsite I ventured , but I was not alone Sonething invaded my privacy , and desturbed my little home Pots, pans , where everywhere , scattered all along the ground I tried to see the culprits , but there were none to be found
I layed my trout beside my car , and proceeded to clean up this mess Then I heard a twigg snapp , this is nature at it`s best ( I was so wrong ) All the wile I was pausing , to view my hairy friends Little did I know , they make no ammends
I heard this russtle beside my car , then some victory cry A raccoon was big and hairy , took off with my supplies I ran over to my car , to see him venture in the woods Dropping all i had , and ran as fast as I could
So off to the woods I ventured , running through the bush and trees Wish I was a little shorter , branches skinned my knees I caught up to my lil fat friend , resting so to speak So I began to sneak up on him , being carefull with my feet
I learched and grabbed my trout bag , he had it firmly in his grasp Then I kinda growled at him , the creature stood up fast So into a tug of war , all over my prized catch Little did I know , I had met my match
We stared for quite some time , tugging all the while Then I kinda glanced at him , that creature had a smile I dropped what I was doing , I had to rubb my eyes All to watch that sob , take off with my prise
I sat up on a logg , watching tubby as he went Thinking all the while , of this message that he sent If you ever go camping , and you see some beady eyes Better hide your groceries , these wods are quite alive
