attending a power skating clinic with Philadelphia Phantoms
Francis Belanger and Mikhail Chernov.

Dmitri was kneeling up at the front of the boat when the
boat hit a wave, he lost his balance and fell over the front of
the boat. He was struck by the propeller in the neck and died
of severe blood loss.

"He had a great sense of humor, he was outgoing," team
captain Eric Lindros said. "He was an all-star in the making. He
was just a terrific player and loved the game." News of Dmitri's
tragic death shocked all of his teammates. "He will certainly
be missed as a teammate first and foremost,"Lindros said. "He
always put the team first; he worked extremely hard."

Dmitri is survived by his wife Polina and the child she is
expecting . He will be brought back to Russia for burial.
Dmitri was lots of fun to watch and was only beginning to show
what he could do in the NHL. He will be missed by all Flyers
players and fans.
