Q: When can Members expect their own Alway's Ford event day ? A: Thats what we want too, an Alway's Ford. event day. What we would like is more members in order to do this. Research suggests that in order to acheieve a successful day we would need a minimum 100 to 150 members and their cars, as well as visitors. If you know of any one who owns a Ford, get them to join the club, the more opportunity we will get as organisers to give our members what they want. We want to hold an event where we can have an official stand, invite local (Motoring) businesses along, and offer our members some goodies, one of which is a club range of merchandise. Without a steady group of members, we cannot do any of these things. Q: Will a list of Members be available in town order, so local members can arrange their own get-togethers ?. A: In time to come, yes. Again, we need more members so that we can arrange this. The plan will be to offer the chance for certain members to run the area meets. The way that we will do this is to invite our members to write why they think they would be the best suited to running their local Alway's Ford Section.. We will then select 10 members from each area and place their details on the site, giving other members the chance to vote for the person they see best suited at arranging their local club events and meets. The chosen members will liase with the club on major events but will be left to their own devices on arranging the locals. We expect to attend certain events but not all and this will be something that will have to be arranged by your local co-ordinator. As things progress, area websites will be encouraged as sidelines from the club. The Co-ordinator you choose will have control over the content of the website, within reason. Again members are needed to do this, so if you have joined and know of other Ford owners in your area, tell em about us, the more members we get the better your club will be. Q: Why do you charge ? A: Yes, we admit there are other clubs out there on the internet that cater for Ford owners that do not charge. Normally this is a register for Ford owners and enthusiasts, or a hobby of an owner or enthusiast. With the Alway's Ford Club, our support for members is our priority, so as you can see we charge £5.00 for joining, if you own a Ford. This isnt a huge amount by any standards, and from all clubs that you do find that charge, we have got to be one of, if not the cheapest. But that doesn't mean we are tacky, just value for money. So, what does your £5.00 do ?, well, initially, your £5.00 gets you an Official certificate, Display disc and holder for your car and a registration document. There is also a £5.00 voucher towards the cost of a Caricature drawing of your Ford should you wish to use it. These drawings are not available in or at any other club. The majority of this membership fee goes towards the building of the website and printing costs. But, you get 2 years for your £5.00. The Alway's Ford Club is more than a register. We have negotiated with various companies to offer discounts to our members, through the club, another great saving for just £5.00, wouldn't you agree ?. We are looking into offering other membership goodies, including a club sticker, but this depends how many members sign up to the club. Q: Will you be offering Spare Parts and Accessories ?. A: Part of your membership will entail a membership card which you should be able to use at the Ford Main Agents that sign up for the club discount scheme. The card will hopefully be able to be used at other various companies who will hopefully affiliate themselves with the Alway's Ford Club. Let's get involved and get something started. Q: Will the Club be attending show's ?. A: In time to come. We, as a club depend on our members to make such an event work. The more members we have the better the event. Our aim is to provide the club with the necessary faciiilities like stands and merchandise. As we all know, these items cost a great deal of money. Since we are non-profit making, we rely on members subscriptions and advertising funds to help build towards this. Please do not be disappointed if we do not for the first year attend any shows as a club. We may filter about and assess the situations ready for the time when we do proudly sit on our own stand with members around us. If we start show's and events, members will be given the chance to tag along to the show.by invitation e-mail's. What to do at these events is anyones guess and the main suggestion is maybe a prize giving for the best club Ford and the chance for the owners and attendees to sell their bits and pieces, kind of like a huge Auto Jumble, but for the Ford Marque only. Q: How long does it take for membership to be processed ?. A: At the moment, not very long, around about a week. It all depends on you the member after first submitting your online form. The club will only process an application after receiving your payment. This is perfectly safe to post us a cheque and all cheques must be made out to the clubs founder (Paul Stevens). Once we recive your payment, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail to state this and your documents stating all your details will arrive around a week later. During this period, your confirmation e-mail will enable you to access the club benefits. Q: What can I post on the Forum ? A: Any problem you are experiencing with your Ford !. Any help, tips and advice about how to keep your Ford in tip top condition. Join discussions and get results. Please do not use this facility to sell your cars, parts or accessories. There is a seperate section for this and since all submissions are vetted by the club before being added, you will be finding it a waste of time. Q: Does my Ford have to be Modified to Join ? A: Of Course not, there are more standard Ford's out there than Modified ones and we welcome you all. I have a standard Focus and Mondeo but we welcome all forms of Ford from absolutely anywhere in the UK and Ireland. Q: I live abroad, Can I join and how do I do so ? A: At this present time, The Alway's Ford Club is expressing it's interest on the UK. Expanding abroad will be reviewed at a later stage. However we are interested in hearing your views if you happen to live abroad. If enough interest is generated by Ford owners abroad, then the situation will be assessed in great detail and a decision will shortly follow. |
