The Story of the Eagles
The Seattle Order of Good Things was founded on February 6, 1898, by six competitive theater owners who gathered to solve a common problem. The name was later changed to The Fraternal Order of Eagles, a more symbolic name. The bald eagle was chosen and a Grand Aerie was formed in April of that same year. They secured a charter, drew up a constitution, created by-laws and elected it's first president. Since then they have never looked back.
Eagle's Milestones
The Fraternal Order of Eagles have covered a lot of ground in the past 100+ years. They have donated millions of dollars to charities and programs to enrich the communities we live in.
Today the Eagles are involved in over 1,700 communities around the world. They have helped raise money to battle drug use, fight Alzheimer's Disease, help fund kidney disease research, and donate money to honor those who have lost their lives defending freedom from foreign and domestic causes. Since the Fraternal Order of Eagles was founded in 1898 they have helped improve the lives of those in their community.
