Go Fonzie in 2003!

If you have any questions about Edgardo then Email Me them.

Edgardo Alfonzo has been the most consistent Met position player this season, and he is becoming aggravated with the front office to the point where he may test the free agent waters this offseason. Alfonzo turned down a three-year, $18.3 million offer prior to the season, asking for a longer deal, and hasn't received another offer since. "If they haven't done it by now, I don't think they'll do it later," Alfonzo told reporters. "I'd like to stay here in New York. I have my house and family here. But if they don't show any interest, I don't want to play that kind of game." The Mets still plan on keeping Alfonzo around and are just waiting until the end of the year to open serious negotiations, but by doing so they are playing a dangerous game. Alfonzo is among the league leaders in batting and his value is on the rise -- which means he could be in for a raise by the time the Mets are willing to negotiate seriously.
