April
20, 1987 - March 12, 2004
Amanda
Greenwell was using a pay phone in March 12, 2004,
when something went awry. One month later,
Amanda's skeletal remains would be found in a
wooded area near her home. Amanda's body was badly
decomposed, but it was evident that her neck was broken
by an unknown assailant.
Months later, a suspected serial killer, Jeremy
Brian Jones would be charged with her murder. At
the time of Amanda's disappearance, Jones was
living in the same trailer park where Amanda's
family lived. Jeremy Jones was a wanted man out of
Oklahoma on prior rape charges. He was living in
Georgia with another alias, John Paul Chapman.
Apparently Amanda, only 16, fit the description
that Jones has been known to be attracted to.
Jones' aftermath stretches through four, possibly
more states.
The family of Amanda Greenwell continue to await
justice for their daughter's untimely death. This
website was created so that Amanda's family and
friends could have a place to visit online and
remember the young life that was taken much too
soon. Please take a moment to review Amanda's
photo album then leave her a family a note. Amanda
may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.
