Thirty-six Westerners from 15 different countries, including America, Canada, England, Sweden, Germany, Australia, peacefully displayed a banner saying, "Truth, Compassion, Tolerance" on Tiananmen Square in China. Upon raising the banner, within a few seconds, police cars and vans rushed to the site and surrounded the Western practitioners. The police then viciously tore away the beautiful banner. They beat up the Western practitioners. Women were sexually assaulted, pulled by the hair, and so on. Even when the police treated the practitioners with such barbaric manner, the Western practitioners remained dignified and noble. They did not return in the same way they were treated. |
