"This group is for a discussion forum among members and interested parties for the purpose of making the Co-op a better Coop. One year ago at the member's annual meeting the Coop members were promised more member involvement. Additionally, the board and staff collected email addresses. Yet nothing was done with them. No meetings were called for those interested members. Recently, the staff decided to change the bulletin board with no advance notice, nor with any member discussion. The Coop newsletter has consistently censored all letters to the editor. Staff have decided to ban all political speech in front of the Coop by placing a sign that forbids any political speech in front of the store, such as getting signatures on petitions, members running for the board soliciting other members votes. The staff have blocked out "real" coop member participation. This page is a place for members and interested parties to be able to have a voice that they have not had for a long time at the Coop. The Coop belongs to the members. It is time that members had more say in what is going on at the Coop.
