"WHO WILL GO" |
There was a celebration in heaven and festivities taking place But the Lord was sad for he longed for the human race He needed a volunteer for salvation so he asked with saddened tears There was no one heard not one answer and therefore no volunteers Who will go to them? Who will volunteer for my own? The Lord was asking everyone in heaven from his throne There was a shout amongst the crowd His voice was urgent and loud I’ll go Father, I’ll be the sacrifice needed to save humankind The Lord was sad for it was his only son who cried He asked again, who will go and take Jesus place? Who will go and bring salvation to the human race? There was a silence in heaven such as never before For no one wanted to go to earth and mend the score There was needed someone from heaven to save man Only someone from heaven could fulfill such a plan Between God and mankind the Lord asked fervently Who’ll go to mankind and redeem them for me? Once again Jesus said, Father let me go I beg! For no one else in heaven will go in my stead Jesus you will face the cross and endure longsuffering pain To bring salvation to mankind it requires your blood stain The father loved mankind and so through grace Sent his Son, Jesus, so that we could see him face-to-face.
