I have done my best to give you all the best list available. In my mind, and this is very important, there is a HUGE difference between CDRs and Unoffical released bootlegs. CDR makers get all of the profit from a homemade product that is never equal to the 'officially' released Bootlegs (in presentation, that is).. I don't care what anybody says. So I have divided the lists up. Don't pay more than $10 (+ or - $10 depending on your desire) for any cdr (2 cd sets should be around $15)! If you pay too much more than that, you have been ripped off!
THE NEW BOOTLEG THEORY:
I have a new conclusion on bootlegs. You may be surprised, but I am no longer a serious collector of them. When I first saw them, I had to have everything that said, "Type O Negative", but now they are nothing more to me than an illegal cd. I don't mind hearing many of their live shows, but I will no longer strive to pay an ass-load of money just to have a bootleg on silver. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks about it, it's just my theory. But consider this. Some dude has an exclusive vhs and has 1000 cds made of it. He pays $2.00 each complete for a total of $2000. He sells the cds for a minimum of $10 each, and if he auctions some off for $100+ (which is not uncommon), he grosses a minimum of $10,000. Is this legal and ethical? Only if you think selling drugs is legal and ethical. So be it to the ones who do it, but remember that TON has 1 official live recording with another one on the way. And how many different versions of Christian Woman and Black No. 1 do you really want to hear live, anyways??? Looking for the cover songs? Maybe you can talk me into making a cd for you......Sure, there may be a certain face value to them whether silver or cdr, but be reasonable. I apologize to all whom I have sold bootlegs to in the past.
