Our Engagement
We got engaged on September 6, 2003 in beautiful
St. Thomas at Peterbourg Point.

Yes, since we do everything backwards we went to
St. Thomas to check things out and see if this is
where we wanted to get married. While we were
there, we arranged parts of the wedding and at the
end of the week, we got engaged.

We decided to have a destination wedding so that we would have an opportunity to spend time relaxing and having fun with our family and friends before the wedding.

St. Thomas is a beautiful, magical place. We kept meeting people who told us they visited and couldn't leave. At the beginning of our time there, we didn't understand it. Sure, it's a beautiful island and all, but what was the big deal? By the end of our week we understood. There is something about the place. We couldn't put our finger on it, but at the end, we did not want to leave either.

It is beautiful, with a relaxed pace, friendly people and sights that will leave you wanting more.

The ceremony will take place at the
St.Thomas Synagogue, the 2nd oldest synagogue in the Western hemisphere. The Synagogue has a full-time Rabbi who worked as the head Rabbi at a congregation just outside of Boston for 31 years. Trivia tidbit--he bar-mitzvahed Adam Sandler! Click on the link above for more info and pictures of the synagogue.
