breeder, I have just started my rattery in
October of 2001 and will
start showing my ratties soon. As I have
learned from my fellow rat lovers I will breed for
health and tempermant before beauty, color etc.
I will only breed healthy rats. My rats are
also my pets first, therefore their
safety and wellbeeing will come first.
I will only have planned litters,
and hopefully will have done my homework right,
and also have a planned outcome!
I had my first pair of rats about 8
years ago and fell in love!
I havnt gotten any more till now, and
with modern technologies and the internet
I have learned a great deal more about these
fuzzy wuzzies and like many
of you I am hooked!
By trade I am a dog groomer of 10years.
I have also done work in animal hospitals.
Which is where I learned not only about
animal medicine, but to research further into
fancy rat breeders,rather
than your typical pet store variety.
Anyhow!
I am starting with Berkshires, and husky types in
blacks, agoutis and hopefully blues! In time I also
would like to add siamese/himmy lines.
