McGee
My mew name is McGee. I was recently adopted
in December 2001 by my humans. I was a rescue cat
from the Melrose Humane Society. My humans had
deserted me when they were evicted from their apartment.
My landlord Mr. McGee notified the MHS about me and I
was named by my foster mother for my benefactor. I lived
at the foster home for only a few months before I was adopted.
My Deowdie liked me right away because I rubbed against
him for pattings when he and Meowmie came to view my sister
Sophie to adopt her. Needless to say, I was adopted along
with Sophie who lived with me in the basement room in our
foster home. I am a very affectionate cat and Deowdie
refers to me as "Big Guy".
Lloyd, my brother who passed over the Rainbow Bridge was very
active in CLAW and the TCMC. Meowmie told me about these clubs
and asked if I wanted to join. I joined right away and immediately
was accepted and became the co-leader of the Older Cats Society
with Spike Brewer who asked if I wanted to co-lead with her.
My brother Lloyd had been her co-leader before my adoption.
"What is CLAW", I asked before I joined. Meowmie told me
that the primary mission of CLAW is to educate kitties to
purr and serve. The secondary mission of CLAW is to help
the members fulfill themselves by participation in
self-growth and special interest group activities.
CLAW's main goal is to help kitties in need and to be a big,
loving family. A good CLAW cat cares about others and helps
the weak and is ethical. CLAW sponsors the Melrose Humane
Society and the Good Mews Society. I am happy that Lloyd sponsored
Sophie because I was rescued by the MHS and found a great home.
CLAW has a "Seminary" to get a good education. It also has a
kindergarten for kittens. I intend to enroll in Seminary for the
next session.
CLAW has many groups that directly help the members or help the cat
community. I have joined four of these groups. They are the Older
Cats Society, the Feline Health Society, the Historical Society and
the Victorian Cat Society. Meowmie told me about the royal rankings
that cats achieve by earning points in their guilds by participation
and by good leadership. I am a natural leader and a very ethical cat
being named for a Scottsman named McGee. Meowie said that Lloyd
became a Marquess before crossing over the Rainbow Bridge.
Here is the gift that my two sisters Shirley, Sophie and I shared
from the CLAW New Members Committee for joining their club.

CLAW and the TCMC.
I just received my Honorable Diploma.
"What is the TCMC?" I asked Meowmie before joining.
"It's a club for "Cats Just Wanna Have Fun" she said.
The Cat's Meow Club is proud to offer it's members an
exceptional learning experience through the use of the
Cativersity. Members are given the opportunity to earn
their Bachelor or Master Degrees.
No matter what a cat's interest is, you can find just the right guild
at our Club House. All of our guilds offer excellent leadership,
monthly projects, and best of all, a chance to meet new kitties
giving you an opportunity to make friends.
The TCMC Theatre hosts special events for all members,
including Cativersity Graduations and Club Award Ceremonies.
TCMC has a Rainbow Garden and allows you to display a plaque
honoring that special kitty in your life. My brofur M&M
has a plaque there and Lloyd will too.
The Back Alley Shoppers' Mall features only the finest shops
which sell anything from groceries to clothes.
For dining out, The Lobster Bistro offers a menu to tempt even
the most discriminating palate. It has a lovely Banquet Room and
excellent catering to make any party an instant success.
The TCMC Mews, our monthly newsletter, keeps us up-to-date on
all the important club happenings.
In the TCMC I joined the Safe Harbor guild which wishes to stop
abuse of animals by abandonment or neglect.
I am also on the Executive Council for TCMC. I am the leader
of TabbyKatz which I founded in the spring 2003 for TCMC.
My two sisters Sophie and Shirley are the co-leaders
of the Flower Society. Meowmie is furry proud that
we three cats are taking active parts in leadership
for the TCMC.
I am now a Marquess of CLAW, May 2004.
