1984 Motorcycle competition Formula Ford starts - 1 win

In 1984, while working as a motorbike delivery man, Damon participates to motorcycle races. With over 40 wins in one year,it can be said that he is quite successfull! In that year Damon turns his attention on car racing by taking part in the British Formula Ford Championship. One win and a fifth place in the Formula Ford Festival, allow him to become rooky of the year. This helps him greatly to obtain the budget for the next season.

Once again during this season, the battle with Michael Schumacher is hot. Leading the championship after the San Marino Grand Prix, the cumulated mistakes of the team do not allow him to keep the lead all along the season. Two other accidents with Michael in Great Britain and Italy bring the tension to a climax between the two opponents. Despite all this, during the European Grand Prix, gentleman Damon congratulates his rival for his second world champion title.
In order to make the next season very successfull, Williams and Damon are making a big work during winter to get ready. Moreover, with Michael moving to Ferrari, Damon's motivation is getting high for 1996

Newcomer at Williams: Jacques Villeneuve. The young Canadian comes with his Indy Car title, synonymous of a great race experience. Jacques is competitive as soon as the season starts. For his first Grand Prix, he takes his first pole position.
