Profile: Perhaps the most successful rap/metal band from Hong Kong that went public from underground. LMF brought along other underground bands such as Tat Flip, N.T., Lam Kee and much more ( artists/bands page ). The band showed citizens of Hong Kong what rap metal actually was and brought rap metal music from it's origin the USA to Hong Kong. The band is still a success. The band was first established in 2 January, 1993 by the Heavy Metal Association where they played ofcourse heavy metal as their main music. The band became famous in Hong Kong many years later in 1999 when their CD Ook Chuen Chai «Î§ø¥J was published. The public then became aware of their rude and full of foul language songs. Teenagers loved it, but critics and others jealous for their unprecedented success as a Hong Kong band complained that the songs were low class and of no culture. Nevertheless, that didn't seem to affect the band. Later, they became the number one band for heavy metal and rap music in Hong Kong when their second CD Dai Lan Tong ¤jÃi°ó was released in the millenium ( In case you don't knowwhat the word millenium means, it means the year 2000 ). Now, the band is a heavy metal/rap gangsta band with more than 10 members. However, all the members are actually from many different other bands in Hong Kong which groupstogether from time to time. Members come from bands like Anodize, Zig Zag, Zenith, Fraina, Martyr, NT, Screw, DJ Tommy and Prodip. LMF although is one of the best in Hong Kong, it's name is still limited only to the region. Anyways,it is true that the band's name will soon spread out all over the world sooner or later. Actually, the band is getting famous in Korea as they had a live show with rappers from Korea. Also, the band is selling records in other parts of the world such as Japan, Canada and many more other places. The band uses their explicit songs to show how unsatisfied they are with the society that they live in. Also, the band hasspread a new type of culture to the young in Hong Kong.
