Placed by: Fudrick Placed on: 10/30/2003 Nearest City: Kent, Washington County: King Clues: Easy Terrain: Easy, urban park Stamp: Marginally Adequate Glenn Nelson Park is named after the renouned Priceton University Basketball Coarch (well, maybe not :-) It is a very nice 10 acre community park with a great view of Mount Rainier. Facilities include: Barbecue, drinking fountain, parking, picnic area, play equipment, public art, 2 tennis courts, baseball/softball/soccer fields, restroom, and trees. Directions: Military Road and South 268th Street From I-5, take Exit 147, S 272 St. Head East to Military Road. Turn Left (North), go to S 268th St. (park will be on the far right-hand side of the intersection). Turn Right, then left into the Park Parking lot. Clues: Head up the gravel trail at the NE corner of the park parking lot. Head East past the playground (if you can avoid the temptation), rest if you have to, until you come to the stoned trio. On your left you will note a wide grassy aisle, head down it. After a pleasant stroll, the aisle bends to the left. Admire the trees ahead of you. You should notice two that have lost their tops.
