The Fort Wayne Chinese Families and Friends Association has been around for nearly 21 years. The group was started by a group of friends as a way to get the Chinese community organized. Before then, there had been various gatherings and potlucks, but no one was officially responsible for organizing the events.The very first event put on by the association was an Autumn Moon Festival celebration. Over the years, the FWCFFA has gathered for the Chinese New Year, Autumn Moon Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, summer picnics. The FWCFFA has also performed at the Three Rivers Festival in the past.
