Hope that you don't mind listening to a little "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix while viewing my web page...
I'm a 49 year old father of 4.. my oldest, Joshua Daniel, 28, my only girl, Joanna June, 27, my namesake Gregory Francesco, 24, all by my first wife, Nancy, and my youngest, Andrew Constantino, 10, with my ex-fiancée, Kim. Our last name, Pellegrino, is the Italian eqivalent to the word "Pilgrim" in English. I'm of half-Italian, half-Irish descent, a nice combination, but sometimes leaves me a little confused... I don't know whether to grab my balls or a beer (just kidding).... I love cooking (in many different cuisines ranging from Italian and Mediterranean, to Indian and Asian), the outdoors (read hunting, fishing, camping and, of coarse, growing my own kitchen garden full of vegetables), to play and sing music, astronomy, history, geneology, new technology, and, of coarse, my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I purchased my first personal computer in 1980, an Apple II with 48K of RAM and an external FDD that held a whopping 143K on a 5 1/4" floppy for around $1700, added a 9" color Sony TV and an RF Modulator for around another $300 and I was ready.... to rock and roll.
About a year later, when I finished up my time in the U.S. Air "Farce", I went to work for Tony Violante, the guy who sold me that PC, as his technician at Upstate Computer Shop in Utica, NY. (you have to remember, well maybe you don't, that in those days the electronic schematic was included in the back of the user's guide). After spending a bit over 2 years there, I moved to Wilmington, DE., where I took over as the Service Manager at the Entré Computer Center. To make the long story short, suffice it to say that, outside of four years trying to hone my skills in the kitchens of several of the resort-like towns here in West Michigan, I've always made my living doing something in electronics and/or computers. That is until recently, when almost 3 years ago I started to sub-contract to a General Contractor, and learned the construction trade, which I plan to continue to work in until retirement.
Before that, most recently, I was a Diagnostics Technician at Invensys plc, Controls Division in Holland, Michigan.

Six years ago, Kim put our names into an "Italian Meal Event" contest at our local Meijer's (a super store type of supermarket), the grand prize being an all expenses paid trip for 4 to Italy.... and they drew my name as the winner!! Off we went (we decided to bring Kim's parents as our guests) in August of 2000 for the pilgrimage of a lifetime ... 3 nights in Roma, 2 in Firenze (Florence, my favorite city by far), 2 in Venice (but, alas, NOT Napoli).. we had such a great time! I plan to go back as soon as I can fit it into my schedule; adding perhaps a culinary class or two in Tuscany, as well as a trip to Capua, my paternal grandfather's place of origin near Caserta outside of grand ole' Napoli (Naples), to do a little geneological research... and would like to bring Andrew this time!
