Okay, mostly Joxer... but there wouldn't be a Joxer if not for that great Greek hero, Hercules! uh... wait no... I -- I mean, Xena! Uh, yeah! Xena. Hah, hah.
Although I never was able to see Xena: Warrior Princess until the show began airing on the USA Network, like those who have been fans since day one, "Callisto" was still the first episode I saw Joxer in. What was my honest first impression of Joxer? Well, at first I didn't realize that he would be a returning character, but I didn't hate him or anything. I'm not going to say that I LOVED him from the start, but I never hated him. By the time I saw "Warrior...Princess...Tramp" I started to recognize him as an interesting character and by "A Comedy of Eros", I was hooked.
Why do I like Joxer? Maybe I just think he's darn funny. Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for the underdog. Or maybe it's because I can see a little of him in me. But then, there's a little bit of Joxer in everyone. That's right, you too. I see ya there... No, not you... You... that Joxerphobe hiding back there in the corner. You can deny it all you want, but it's true.
