Albert Van Buren, 82, a resident of the town of alto, died at his home Wednesday morning at 2 o'clock as the result of a heart attck.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Christain Reformed church in Alto. It is not known as yet who will have charge of the services. Burial will be at the Alto cemetery.
Mr. Van Buren was born in Holland on Sept. 11, 1870. He cane to America about 60 years ago, settling in the town of Alto where he has lived since that time.
Surviving relatives are five sons and four daughters, namely, Ed, James, and John, all of Alto, and Allen and Albert, jr., of Trenton, Mrs. C. Bronkhorst of Trenton, Mrs. John Vossekuil of Alto, Mrs. Barney Vanden Berg of Brandon, and Mrs. Hubert Duitman of Alto. Mrs. Van Buren died about 30 years ago. The oldest of the children, a daughter, died on July 6, 1904, and the oldest son, Henry, died on Feb. 21, 1931.

James Van Buren, 83, a resident of Waupun Christian Home, died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 30, in Waupun Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for the past week.
Mr. Van Buren was born in the township of Alto Nov. 19, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Buren. He was married to the former Kate Beek in Alto May 15, 1911. The couple farmed in the Alto area, then moved to Fairwater where he worked for Laper garage for many years. Upon his retirement, the couple moved to Waupun where they lived at 422 West Main St. His wife died in January 1971.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one brother, Art Van Buren Sr., Waupun; and two sisters, Mrs. Cornelius Bronkhorst and Mrs. Barry Vande Berg, both of Waupun.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m. at Alto Reformed church, Alto. The Rev.Richard Bouwkamp will officiate. Burial will be in Alto cemetery.
Friends may call at the Werner-Harmsen funeral home Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. and at the church Thursday from noon until the time of services.

Barney Vande Berg, Woodward Street, Brandon, died Sunday morning, may 3, 1981, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, at the age of 86 years.
He was born inAlto Feb. 7, 1895, a son of Barney and Jennie De Motts Vande Berg. OnSept. 27, 1919, he was married to the former Jennie Van Buren in Alto.
The couple farmed in the town of Metomen until moving to Brandon. Mr. Vande Berg had been employed by the Johnson Feed Mill of Fairwater until his retirement. He was a member of Bethel Reformed Church of Waupun.
He served with the Medical Corps Base Hospital 109 in Vichy, Frances, during World War I.
Having been preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters, he leaves to survive his widow; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Harriet) Kearley, Waupun; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services handled by Norris-Kohls Funeral Home, Brandon, were held Tuesday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Reformed Church, Brandon. The Rev. Wilmer Ver Meer officiated. Burial was in Alto Cemetery.
