The Waupun Leader News, nov. 24, 1955; SERVICES WERE HELD FOR ALBERT VAN LOO IN EMMANUEL CHURCH Funeral services where held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Beyers Funeral Home for Albert Van Loo, 10 Beaver Dam Street, who died Wednesday evening in his home following a heart attack. The Rev. Chester Postma conducted the services at the funeral home and the services held at 2 p.m. in the Emmanuel Reformed Church. Burial took place at the cemetery in Alto. Mr. Van Loo was born Mar 22, 1886 in the Town of Alto, the son of the late mr. and Mrs. Rever Van Loo. He married to Ella Riel on Sept 21, 1913, and the couple farmed in Victinity of Alto until four years ago when they moved to Waupun. The deceased is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Doyle Smit and Mrs. Elmer Van Buren; four sons, Raymond, James, Alvin and Elton; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Cornelius, Ben and Ralph of Brandon; two sisters, Miss Winnie Van Loo and Mrs. Elizabeth Hopp. |

The Commonwealth Reporter-May 2, 1979; Mrs. Ella Van Loo, 82, a resident of the Christian Home for the aged at Waupun, died Tuesday, May 1, 1979, at Waupun Memorial Hospital. She was born June 11, 1896, in the Town of Alto, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Riel. She married to Albert Van Loo on Sept 21, 1915 in Alto. The couple farmed in the Alto area until retiring, Mrs. Van Loo was member of the First Reformed Church, Waupun. Survivors incule four sons, Raymond, Route 1 Burnett, James, Waupun, Alvin, Route 1 Randolph and Elton 1, Markesan, two daughters, Mrs. (Doyle) Smits, Waupun, Mrs. Elmer (Josephine) Van Buren, Route 2, Brandon, 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Firday at First Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. Arnold Dykhuizen was officiated. Burial was in Alto Cemetery. Vistation was held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Wener-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and at the Church from noon Firday until the time of the services. Waupun Leader News-June 23, 1966; Mrs. Ella Van Loo, 608 East Franklin street, observed her 70th birthday June 11. A surprise party for her was held Friday evening, June 10, in the home of Mrs. Janette Nummerdor, Rt. 2, Waupun. Darlene Dykstra was co-hostess. Nearly 50 relatives and friends attended. Each helped to provide the potluck lunch. Mrs. Van Loo has six children and 24 grandchildren. Her two daughters are Mrs. Elmer Van Buren, with whom she lives; and Mrs. Doyle Smits, Burnett. Four sons are Elton Van Loo, Waupun; Raymond J. Van Loo, Oak Center; James Van Loo, Burnett; and, Alvin Van Loo, Randolph. |
