Daily Citizens-Nov. 23, 2004: ALTO - Arthur H. Hopp, 66, of Alto, died suddenly, Nov. 21, 2004, at Waupun Memorial Hospital, Waupun. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Alto Reformed Church, Alto. The Rev. Dr. Gregg Pusateri and the Rev. Ted Medema will officiate. Arthur was born on Nov. 26, 1937, the son of Ed and Jennie (Schouten) Hopp. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. He married Gertrude De Vries. The couple have lived in the Alto area all their married life. Art was a supervisor at National Rivet in Waupun, where he retired in late 2003. He was a member of the Alto Reformed Church in Alto. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and pitching horeshoes. Survivors include his wife Gertrude Hopp, Alto; one son, Dennis (Jayne) Hopp, Waupun; one daughter, Renee Durant, Oshkosh; four grandchildren, Pvt 1st Class Jessica Hopp, Dustin Hopp, Robert Durant and Jsoeph Durant. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun; and one Wednesday, Nov. 24, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Alto Reformed Church, Alto. The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home and staff, Waupun, is serving the family.
