Carol Ann Cole, age 62 of Rockford and formerly of Waupun, died peacefully Monday, August 1, 2005 at her home. Carol was born on March 4, 1943 in Columbia County, WI, the daughter of Pete and Deana (Pater) Streekstra. On February 26, 1967 she was united in marriage to David Lynn Cole in York, South Carolina. Carol was formerly a member of the Waupun United Methodist Church of Waupun, where she was a Sunday school teacher for several years. She was presently a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church of Roscoe, Il. Carol loved to cook for her family during the Holiday season. Carol is survived by her daughter, Shannon Cole, her son Patrick (Michelle) Cole, all of Rockford, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, David on June 26, 1991, a brother, Alton Streekstra and her parents. Funeral services were held at Kohls Community Funeral home in Waupun with the Rev. William Jannusch officating. Interment followed at Cattaraugus Cemetery. Kohls Community Funeral Home is serving the family.

He was employed at Aronson Steel Products Co., Waupun. He was a Member of United Methodist Church, Waupun, where he served on the Board of Trustees and was a Sunday school teacher.
He is survived by his wife Carol, Waupun; one son, Patrick and one daughter, Shannon, both at home; one sister, Debbie (Calrence) Staley, Statesville, N.C.; one brother, Paul (Patty) Vande Streek, Charlotte, N.C.; his mother, Vernie Vande Streek, Stataesville, N.C.; his maternal grandmother, Mae Steeters, Louisville, Ky.; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one sister and his stepfather.
