He married MURIEL BERTHA MARIA (SIS) HEMLING on November 20, 1936. She was born May 21, 1913 in Township of Fountain Prairie, Columbia County, Wisconsin, and died August 7, 2000 in Columbia Health Care Center, Wyocena, Columbia County, Wisconsin.

SUSAN KAY (SUSIE) DYKSTRA, Born-December 14, 1955 in Columbus, Columbia County, Wisconsin; died April 27, 1975 in Township of Fountain Prairie, Columbus, Columbia County, Wisconsin.
NOTES FOR CLAUDE EARNEST DYKSTRA:
Claude E. Dykstra, 56, a longtime area resident, died at University Hospital, Madison, Saturday, March 1, after a long illness.
He was a farmer and former employee of the Fall River Foundry, retiring last year.
Born at Randolph on October 30, 1912, he was a son of Sjouke and Grace Westover Dykstra. He was married to Muriel Hemling at Fall River on November 20, 1936.
Mr. Dykstra was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Fall River.
Surviving him are his wife, four sons, Eugene and Gary, Fall River; Roger, Dorchester; and Richard, at home; two daughter, Mary and Susan; at home; his mother, Mrs. Grace Dykstra, Columbus; one sister, Mrs. Edward Nelson, Milwaukee; three brothers, Clifford, Cambria; and Bernard and Edward, both of Columbus; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the church. Rev. Charles Tessmer officiated and interment was in Fall River Cemetery.
The Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Muriel B. "Sis: Dykstra, 87, died on Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Columbia Health Care Center, Wyocena. The funeral will be held on Thursday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m., at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fall River. The Rev. James Bolda will officiate. Burial will be in the Fall River Cemetery. Mrs. Dykstra was born on May 21, 1913, in the town of Fountain Prairie, the daughter of Emil and Dora (Summnicht) Hemling. She was married on Nov. 20, 1936, to Claude Dykstra. Mrs. Dykstra was employed by Columbus Community Hospital in housekeeping for many years until her retirements in 1984. She was a member of the Columbus Senior Center, St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church and it's Ladies Aid. Survivors include five children, Eugene (Sandy), Roger, Mary, Gary (Joyce), Richard (Evelyn), all of Fall River; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Virginia Birkenstock, Fall River, and Ruby Kirley, Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude, in1969; and one daughter, Susan. Friends may call on Wednesday, Aug. 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Jones-Jensen Funeral  Home, Columbus, and on Thursday, Aug. 10, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made to the the St. Stephen's Church parking lot fund.

COLUMBUS - Miss Susan Kay Dykstra, 19, 394 South St., Fall River, was killed in a one car accident early Sunday morning on Highway 146, one mile north of Highway 16.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from St. Stephen's Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles Tessmer officiating. Interment will be in Fall River Cemetery.
She was born in Columbus December 14, 1955 to Mr. and Mrs. Claude Dykstra, graduating in June 1974 from Fall River High School and at the time of her death was a student at Madison Area Technical College.
Her mother, Mrs. Claude (Muriel) Dykstra of Fall River, survives; one sister, Mary and four brothers, Eugene, Roger, Gary and Richard, all of Fall River. She was preceded in death by her her father in 1969.
Friends may call at the Jones Funeral Home, Columbus, today and at the church after 12:30 tomorrow.

FALL RIVER - A 19-year-old Fall River woman was dead on arrival Sunday at Columbus Community Hospital of injuries suffered in a one-car crash on Highway 146, one mile north of Highway 16 intersection in the Township of Fountain Prairie.
The victim was Susan K. Dykstra, daughter of Mrs. Claude Dykstra and late Claude Dykstra of Fall River.
She was a passenger in a car driven by Michael J. Evans, 22, Columbus, who is reported in "stable" condition today at University Hospital in Madison with broken ribs and internal injuries.
According to the report from Columbia County traffic authorotoes, the car went out of control on a railroad overhead, crashed down an embankment and rolled over three times before coming to rest in a field. Both occupants were thrown from the car. They were conveyed to Columbus Community Hospital by the Fall River Rescue Squad, and Evans was later transferred to Madison.
Authorities were notified shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sunday, but the exact time of the crash is not known.
