Mr. Donald Edward Dykstra age 59 of Ripon died Thursday October 21, 1993 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac after a courageouse battle with cancer. He was born on February 24, 1934 in the Township of Fox Lake the son Clifford & Myrtle Wichman Dykstra. He was confirmed into the Lutheran Faith in 1950 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manschester. He married Bernice Schmidtfranz. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan, Donald owned & operated the Mobil Station in Markesan from 1965-1976, he then worked from Ripon College until his failing health caused him to retire. He is survived by his wife, Bernice of Ripon, 3 sons Dennis (Lynette) Dykstra of Markesan, David (Sandra) Dykstra, Elizabethtown, KY, Douglas (Gabriel) Dykstra, Malach, Germany, 5 grandchildren Tonya, Janice, Tina, Donald & Manuel. His father Clifford Dykstra of Randolph, 10 brothers & sisters, Robert (Joann) Dykstra, Fall River, Dorothy (Dale) Kolb of Woodruff, Nancy (Harold) Seibel of Columbus, Donna (Jessie) Skinner of Pardeeville, Clifford, Jr. (Nancy) of Jefferson, Mary (Bill) Cummings of Randolph, Diane (Steve) Shaker of Woodruff, Darlene (DuWayne) Bierman of Waupun, Richard (Olive) Dykstra of Readstown, Cherly (Orrin) Pendleton of Madison, other relatives and friends. His mother preceded him in death in 1988. Christian funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, at 11 a.m. from St. John's Lutheran Church in Markesan with Rev. Paul Hirsch officiating with burial in the Markesan Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wachholz Funeral Home in Markesan and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. till the serices. Pallbeares are Larry Rescke, Daniel Srahota, Robert Lieske, George Monti, David Benesh & William C. Krentz. A Memorial has been established. | ||||||||||||
