Edmund Dunn, Prentice, passed away at his home on Firday, January 3, at the age 78. He was norn in Prentice on September 1, 1896. He was married to Hazel M. Blanchard in Prentice on November 25, 1916, and she preceded him in death on August 20, 1961. Mr. Dunn was employed as a section foreman for the Soo Line Railroad for 45 years.Funeral services were concelebrated by Father Frederic Beller, Father David Oberts and Joseph Willger, on Monday, January 6, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph the baptist Catholic Church in Prentice. Interment was in the Prentice Cemetery.Mr. Dunn is survived by five children, Joseph, Sheboygan, James T. Stevens Point, Helen, Mrs. Roy Anderson, Superior, Dorris, Mrs. James Downs, Niles, ILL, and Donald, Roseville, Minn; by three brothers, William, Rhinelander, Gordon, Prentice, and Joseph, Chicago, ILL; by two sisters, Elizabeth Dunn, Prentice and Ann Friewald, Prentice, by 21 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. he was preceded in death by one son, Mike and by one brother, John. Heindl Funeral Home, Prentice, had charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Edmund Dunn
The community of Prentice was stunned by the sudden death of Mrs. Edmund M. Dunn, 62; of Prentice, at about 12:20 Sunday noon. She had attended mass at St. John's' Catholic church and a breakfast that followed, then drove alone to Tomahawk. Evidently a premonition of illnesa prompted her to stop the car as she was driving along 86, just out of Tomahawk. A resident saw her slumped over the wheel and  summoned police aid. She died en route by ambulance to the hospital
Hazel Blanchard, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Blanhard, was born In Prentice November 8, 1898, and spent her entire life in this area. She was married to Edmund Dunn at St. Mary's church in Prentice November 16,1916, and they established their
home in the village.              
She was a member of the St. John the Baptist church and prominent in all its activities. She was also an active member of the V.F.W. auxiliary 8491 and front 1956 to 1958 was president of the Prentice Woman's club. She inaugurated the senior citizen activities, now sponsored, anually by the Woman's club. There was seldom a drive in which she didn't participate or a community project that she didn't help along, for she loved the village in which she lived. In her passing the community has lost an ardent promoter and civic worker.  
She is survived by her husband,
Edmund; four sons, Edmund, Jr., Sheboygan, James, Stevens Point, Donald, St. Paul, Minn., and Michael, Niles, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs.
Roy Anderaon (Helen), Superior, and Mrs. Jim Downs (Doris), Miles, Ill., and 16 grandchildren.
Solemn requiem mass was held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wednesday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Fr. R. J. Herrmann officiating. Burial was in the Prentice cemetery. The body lay in state at the Hanson Funeral home, where Rosary services, were held Tuesday  evening.
