Eibertje (Annie) van Buren   was born August 31, 1876 in Ermelo/Hulshorst, Gelderland, Netherlands, and died February 25, 1957 at the hoem of  her son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. John Heideman, 26 West Main St.,  in Waupun, Dodge County, Wisconsin.  She married Henry Smits January 03, 1900 in Waupun, Dodge County, Wisconsin.  He was born January 14, 1871 in Alto Township, Alto, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, and died August 01, 1957 at his home 700 East Main St., Waupun, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Henry Smits, 80, Died Monday: Services Were Held Wednesday
Mrs. Henry Smits, 80, died Monday morning in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Heideman, 26 West Main street. Mrs. Smits had been ill for the past three months and had been residing with the Heidemans recently.
Mrs. Smits, the former Anna Van Buren, was born Aug. 30, 1876, in the Netherlands, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Van Buren. She came to the Waupun area in her youth and had since been a resident of the vicinty. She was a member of the First Reformed church.
Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Peters, Mrs. Heideman, and Mrs. Gerrit Brink, Burnett; two sons, Freeman and Doyle Smits; six sisters, Mrs. John Konings, Mrs. Hattie Hendricks, and Mrs. William Smits, Waupun, Mrs. Allen Brink, Corsica, S. Dak., Mrs. John Smits, Chicago, Mrs. Dick Smits, Hanford, Calif., and two brothers, John and Will Van Buren, both of Waupun.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 in the Beyers Funeral home and at 2 p.m. in the First Reformed church. The Rev. William Rosenberg officiated and burial was in Forest Mound cemetery.

Funeral Services Were Held on Monday for Henry Smits, 86
Henry Smits, 86, 700 East Main street, died at his home Thursday afternoon.
Mr. Smits was born Jan. 14, 1871, in the town of Alto, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Garret Smits. He was married to Anna Van Buren in 1901. The couple had resided in Waupun and vicinity all their married life. Mrs. Smits died Feb. 27, 1957.
Mr. Smits has been employed by the Libby, McNeil and Libby company for many years. He was a member of the First Reformed church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. John C. Peters, Mrs. John Heideman and Mrs. Gerrit Brink, all of Waupun; two sons, Freeman of Brandon and Doyle of Waupun; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; one brother, John Smits, Chicago; and a sister, Mrs. Allen Brink, Corsica, S. Dak. Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Beyers Funeral home at 2 p.m. in the First Reformed church. The Rev. Chester Meengs officiated at the services. Burial was in Forest Mound cemetery.
