Ralph Henken Rites Friday Funeral services for Ralph Henken, 81, will be held Friday, March 23, at 2 p.m. in the Emmanuel Reformed church, Waupun. Mr. Henken died Tuesday afternoon at Waupun Memorial hospital. Visitation will be held at Kohls company Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. A complete obituary will be published next week. The Waupun Leader News-March 28, 1973: Ralph Henken Dies at 81 Ralph Henken, 81, 329 Bly St., died Thursday afternoon, March 20, at Waupun Memorial hospital. He was born May 7, 1891, in The Netherlands, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arie Henken. He came to America in 1905 with his parents and settled in the Town of Chester, Dodge County. On Sept. 28, 1920, he married France Vant Hoff in the Town of Alto and after the marriage they farmed in Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties until retirement in 1951 when they moved to Waupun. Mr. Henken was a member of Emmanuel Reformed church, where he served both as elder and deacon and was a member of the Men's Brotherhood. Surviving are his widow; two son, Alfred and Bernes, both of Route 1, Burnett; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two brothers, Arie, Lynden, Wash; and John, Waupun. His parents and two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Reformed church. The Rev. George Chermak officiated. Burial was in Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton. Visitation was held from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kohls Company Funeral Home, and at the church from noon Friday until the time of services. |
