The Randolph Advance-Nov. 1956; Fred Wichamnn passed away at his home in Randolph on Sunday October 23, following a lingering illness. Funeral service were held on Wednesday October 31, from Frieden's Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. Albert A Winter officiating. Burial was in Randolph Cemetery. Fred Julius Wichmann was born May 2, 1896, in the Town of Westford. He was the son of Charles and Marie (Pobanz) Wichmann. He was bapitzed in infancy and confirmed in the Ev. Lutheran Church in his early teens. On December 11, 1910, he was united in marriage with Clara Harder at Cambrai. The first 7 years of their married life they lived in Randolph, where he worked in the Randolph Wagon Works. In 1918 Fred Wichmann and his family moved onto the farm of his father in the Town of Westford, which later purchased. After 30 years he retired from active farming and he and Mrs. Wichamnn moved to the Village of Randolph, where they have since made their home. A year ago this June he underwent an operation at Madison General Hospital and never fully regained his health from that time. He is survived by his wife, three daughters-Myrtle (Mrs. Clifford Dykstra) of Markesan, Carol (Mrs. John Grabarski, Jr.) of Beaver Dam and Gladys (Mrs. Harry Jones) of Columbus-and six sons, Mervin of Beaver Dam, Gilbert of Wichita, Kansas, Gordon, Eldon, Orville and Ronald, all of Randolph. There are 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived bythree brothers-William and Otto of Randolph and Rudolph of Santa, Calif- and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hazelwood of West Allis, Mrs. Ted Nienow of Watertown and Mrs. Elmer Leistekow of Beaver Dam, His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. |

Mrs. Fred Wichmann, 220 Center St., Randolph, passed away Thursday, December 21, at University Hospital, Madison. Funeral services will be held Sayurday, December 23, at 2:00 p.m. from Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Randolph. Rev. Albert Winter will officiate at the service and interment will be at the Randolph Cemetery. The late Mrs. Wichamnn was born August 8, 1894, in the German Settlement, Columbia County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Harder. She was married to Fred Wichamnn on December 11, 1910. She had been a resident of Randolph for the past 19 years. Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Dykstra of Cambria; Mrs. John Grabarski of Beaver Dam; Mrs. Harry Jones of Silverton, Oregon; six sons, Mervin of Fond du Lac; Gilbert of Wichita, Kansas; Gordon, Eldon, Orville and Ronald all of Randolph; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were; her parents; her husband in 1956; two brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Wichmann was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church of Randolph. Eldon "Hap" Wichamnn, 73, 220 Center St., Randolph, died Sunday Oct. 16, 1988, at the Continanial Manor Nursing Home, Randolph. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursay from the Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Randolph, with the Rev. Walter Goers, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery. Mr. Wichamnn was born on Aug. 30, 1915, in the Town of Westford, the son of Fred and Clara (Harder) Wichamnn. He was a volunteer Randolph fireman for many years and was employed at Busse Brothers in Randolph. He was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include two brothers, Mervin (Goldie) Wichamnn, Fond du Lac, Wis., Gilbert (Marie) Wichamnn, Wichita, Kansas; three sisters, Myrtle (Clifford) Dykstra, Markesan, Carol (John) Grabarski, Beaver Dam, Gladys Jones, Silverton, Ore; nieces and nephews. Mervin C. Wichmann, 85, formerly of 221 E. Main St., Beaver Dam, died Monday, April 7, 1997 at the Clearview Nursing Home, Juneau. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 10, at 1 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate. Burial will be Estabrook Cemetery, town of Fond du Lac, Wis. Mr. Wichmann was born Jan. 15, 1912 in the town of Randolph, son of Fred and Clara (Harder) Wichmann. He was married to Florence Schultz and later to Godie Pederson. He was emplyed at Sadoff Iron and Metal Company in Fond du Lac, Wis., for 20 years and was a member of the Church of Peace in Fond du Lac, Wis. Survivors include one stepson, Elmer (Carol) Gosse of Beaver; two stepdaughters, Rosie (Al) Vogel of Beaver Dam, Anne (Frank) Karr of Fond du Lac, Wis.; one brother, Gilbert (Marie) Wichmann of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Carol Garbarski of Beaver Dam, Gladys Jones of Silverton, Ore.; many grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Alfred J. Wittmann will officate at the service and interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The deceased was born November 16, 1911, at Mayville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Schultz. She was married June 24, 1944, to Mervin Wichmann at Beaver Dam. She had resided in Mayville until the time of her marriage, then in the Town of Burnett and for past eight and one half years in the Town of Beaver Dam. Survivors are; Her husband, Route 1, Beaver Dam; her father William of Beaver Dam; two brothers, Norman and Clarence Schultz of this city; two nephews, Alan and David Schultz, of Beaver Dam. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, Fond du Lac, with the Rev. Martin Koehler officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooke Cemetery. Mrs. Wichmann was born on Dec. 16, 1906, in Argyle, Wis., the daughter of Edward and Josephine (Brown) Pederson. She was married to Frerdinard Gosse in January of 1923. He preceded her in death. She was married to Mervin Wichmann on July 30, 1955. She moved to Beaver Dam in March of 1989 from Fond du Lac. She was formerly employed by Infant Socks, was a former member of the Fond du Lac Police Auxiliary and the Enagles Aerie 270 Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Anna (Franklin) Karr, Fond du Lac, Rosemarrie (Alvin) Vogel, Beaver Dam; one son, Elmer (Carol) Gosse, Beaver Dam; one daughter-in-law, Ella Gosse, Milwaukee; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Clara (John) Pavelka, Beaver Dam; four brothers, Einar (Lorraine) Pederson and Arlo Pederson, Beaver Dam, Oscar (Elsie) Pederson, Green Bay, Wis., Hilmar (Carol) Pederson, Settle, Wash.
