Gerrit Van Buren was born April 14, 1915 in Trenton Township, Dodge County, Wisconsin, and died August 17, 1999 in Continental Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Randolph, Dodge County, Wisconsin.  He married (1) Nellie Kikkert June 29, 1938 in Waupun, Dodge County, Wisconsin.  She was born October 26, 1916 in Randolph, Dodge County, Wisconsin, and died May 31, 1958 in Madison General Hospital, Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin.  He married (2) Betty R. Scott PRIVATE.  She was born PRIVATE.

RANDOLPH  Gerrit "Pa" Van Buren, 84, of 504 S. High St., Randolph, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at the Continental Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Randolph.
The funeral will be Saturday, Aug. 21, at noon at the First Reformed Church, Randolph. The Rev. Calvin Vande Zande will officiate. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
Mr. Van Buren was born April 14, 1915, in Waupun, son of Edward and Minnie (Aartz) Van Buren. He was married to Betty Scott .
He was a lifelong resident of the Beaver Dam and Randolph area, a member of the First Reformed Church, Randolph, was self-employed as a house painter with his son and was formerly a maintenance supervisor for many years at Hotel Rogers, Beaver Dam.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Van Buren of Beaver Dam; one son, Marvin (Judy) Van Buren of Beaver Dam; one daughter, Betty (Robert) Fehl of Randolph; three stepsons, Earl (Trudy) Mann of Randolph, Alvin (Judy) Mann of Brandon, Wis., Larry Scott of Fox Lake; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nellie (Kikkert); three brothers, John, Ed and Joseph; and one infant sister, Jenny.
Friends may call on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the First Reformed Church, Randolph.

Mrs. gerrit Van Buren, nee Nellie Kikkert, was born on October 26, 1916, at Randolph, Dodge County, Wisconsin, and passed away at the Madison General Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 31, 1958, at the age of 41 years, 6 months, and 5 days. She was the daughter of Nicholas and Elizabeth Kikkert, being the eighth of ten children born to them. She spent her early years on the family farm near Randolph. On June 29, 1938, she was joined in marriage to Mr. Gerrit Van Buren of Fox Lake, Wisconsin. Following their marriage they resided in Randolph, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Van Buren is survived by her husband; one son, Marvin R., and one daughter, Betty May, who reside at home; six brothers, Paul Kikkert of Cambria, John Kikkert of Beaver Dam, Cornelius Kikkert of Juneau, Louis Kikkert of Beaver Dam, Nicholas Kikkert of Juneau, and Sam Bandsma of Chippewa Falls; and three sisters, Mrs. Fred Kuiper of Beaver Dam, Mrs. John J. De Vries of Waupun, and Mrs. Henry J. Vredeveld, Jr., of Hartford; and three brothers-in-law.She was prceded in death by her parents.
She was a life-long member of the First Reformed Church of Randolph, Wisconsin, and a member of the ladies Aid Society of that church.
Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church of Randolph on Tuesday, june 2, 1958, at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Abraham de Vries conducting the services. Burial was at hte Randolph cemetery.
