Daily Citizens-Feb. 3, 2004  WAUPUN - Gladys TerBeest, 80, of Waupun, died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at the Christian Home, Waupun. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 10:30 a.m., at the Alto Reformed Church. The Rev. Dr. Gregg Pusateri will officiate. Burial will follow at the Alto Cemetery, Alto. Gladys was born on July 28, 1923, in the town of Alto, the daughter of George and Gertrude (Peters) Westerveld. She was married to Leonard TerBeest. She farmed with her husband in the town of Alto for over 30 years before retiring and moving to Waupun. Gladys belonged to the Alto Reformed Church all her life. She was active in the Women's Mission Society and Guild. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and loved ones. Survivors include her husband, Leonard, Waupun; one son, Gary (Barbara) TerBeest, La Crosse; two grandchildren, Andy and Katie, La Crosse; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Agnes. Friends may call on Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home, Waupun, and on Wednesday, Feb. 3, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Alto Reformed Church. The Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home and staff, Waupun, is serving the family.
