The Waupun Leader News-Nov. 4, 1971: Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, in Werner-Harmsen funeral home for the five-month old son of Glenn and LaVern Mischler Navis, 321 West Division St., Fond du Lac. The infant died suddenly at home Oct. 31. Matthew J. Navis was born June 4, 1971, in Fond du Lac. The Rev. Paul Piotter of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran church, Fond du Lac, officiatied. Burial was in Wedges Prairie Cemetery. Survivors include his parents; one brother, Jon; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Mischler, Beaver Dam; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Navis, Waupun.
