Gordon J. TeBeest, 59, 600 Brandon St., died Monday morning, April 26, at Waupun Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Dec. 2, 1916, in the town of Trenton, a son of William and Maggie Vande Zande TeBeest. He was married to the former Esther Veleker July 7, 1939, in Brandon, moving to Waupun where he was employed by the Standard Oil Company. In 1959 he became the Standard Oil Company bulk agent.
The late Mr. TeBeest was a member of First Reformed Church of Waupun and a former member of the Tri-County Gideon Society.
Having been preceded in death by his father, he leaves to survive, his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Curtis (Judy) DeVries, Mrs. Brian (Mary) Hemp, Mrs. Ronald (Linda) Bresser, and Mrs. Vincent (Ellen), all of Waupun; two sons, Wayne, Oshkosh; and Dennis, Holland, Mich; nine grandchildren; his mother, Waupun; one brother, Merlin, Waupun; and one sister, Mrs. Robert Olson, Waupun.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at First Reformed Church. The Rev. Donald Boss officatied. Burial took place in Forest Mound Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday evening, April 27, from 4 to 9 p.m. in Kohls Company Funeral Home.
