Gordon James Dunn, Prentice, passed away in the Medford Memorial Hospital in Medford on Wednesday, October 8, at the age of 78. Born in Prentice on February 11, 1902, he was married to Elsie Seeger in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Prentice on July 5, 1932. Mr. Dunn was an acitve member of theSt. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Prentice, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2963. He had been employed by the Mid-State Cheese Factory in Prentice until, the time of his retirement. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 10 at 2:00 p.m. in St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Prentice with Father John Regh celebrating the Funeral Mass. Interment was in the Prentice Cemetery. Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife, Elsie; and by one sister, Ann Friewald of Prentice. He was preceded in death by one son, John; by his parents; by four brothers; John, Edward, Joseph,and William; and by one sister, Elizabeth. The Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice had charge of the arrangements. |

Prentice resident Elsie Ruth Dunn died Sunday, April 18, 1999, at the Rib Lake Health Care Center at the age of 89. Born July 24, 1909, to Frank Sr. and Mamie Seeger, she was a member of St.John the Baptist Catholic Church of Prentice, the VFW Auxiliary and of the Price County Homemakers. Friends may call at the Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the parish wake service at 7 p.m. Funeral services, will be held Thursday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at St. John with Father Dismas Kalcic celebrating the funeral mass with interment at Prentice Cemetery. Mrs. Dunn is survived by a brother, R. Richard (Jessie), Commerce City, Colorado. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, on December 8,1980; a son, John; and by three brothers, Carl, Oliver and Frank. |

Death of Bright Little Boy John Patrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dunn of Prentice, passed away Monday afternoon, March 11, at the Marshfield hospital from bronchial pneumonia. He had been ill since Friday and was taken to the hospital Monday morning. He was born at Prentice on Sept. 29, 1932, and was 2 years, 5 months and 10 months of age. Funeral services were held this Thursday morning from St. Anne's Catholic church, conducted by Rev. Fr. Stadt. Burial was made in the Prentice cemetery. The following boys acted as pallbearers: James Dunn, Ambrose Dunn, Jerry Mathey and Oliver Seeger. The sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended to the grief-stricken parents and other immediate relatives. |
