Funeral services for Albert Pobanz, 64, of Lamartine were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of his nephew, Walter Pobanz, 422 West Main Street in Waupun. The services were conducted by the Rev. W.E. Staehling and buried took place in Forest Mound Cemetery. Albert Pobanz was born in Germany, Dec. 19, 1869. He came to America in 1893, and has resided in this vicinity ever since. He was a resident of Lamartine for the past 25 years. Mr. Pobanz died Sept 18 in Lamartine. Surviving him one brother, Emil, and a nephew, Walter Pobanz of Waupun. Pallbears at the service Saturday were Emil Wichner, Frank Allen, Will Hollander, and Fred Wichman of Randolph, and Alfred Pobanz and Walter Robbins of Waupun. Those from out of town attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pobanz, Mr. and Mrs. William Pobanz, Mr. and Mrs. William Hollander, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Baumann, and Mrs. Gustie Ball of Randolph; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Andrews of Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Bork of Gary; Mike Allen of Beaver Dam, Mr. and Mrs. H. Vander Galen, Mr. Schaefer, and son, Mr. Dorn of Lamartine.

WAUPUN DEMOCART-Dec. 8, 1910:
Carl August Pobanz, aged 29 years, eleven months and thirteen days, died at 9 o'clock Tuesday evening at the home of his brother, Albert Pobanz, at the Lamartine Hotel in Lamartine. He was born in Germany in 1880 and came to America six years ago. He made his home at Lake Forest, Ill., where he was employed as a teamster. His health failing he came to the home of his brother at Lamartine six weeks ago. Besides his brother, Albert Pobanz, he leaves a cousin, William Pobanz, Randolph, and his father who lives in Germany. The funeral will be held Friday morning at the Pobanz home in Lamartine and interment will be at Waupun.
