Harry A. Westover, Sr., 70, 508 S. Center St., Beaver Dam, died Tuesday, March 19, 1985 at the Beaver Dam Care Center. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 22, at 2 p.m., at the Briese Roedl Weber Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark Molldrem officiating. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery, Randolph, Wis. Mr. Westover was born November 16, 1914, in the town of Calamus, Dodge County, the son of Robert and Minnie (Braatz) Westover. He resided in rural Columbus and Randolph and since 1955 in Beaver Dam. He was a member of the Beaver Dam Conservation Club; owned and operated the Milwaukee House Restaurant, managed Martinizing Dry Clearners and Beaver Dam o-Mat Dry Cleaners, was a nurses aid at the Dodge County Community Health Center for five years. He also managed the Vets Bar for two years; did construction work for Clarence Pfeffer and John Wheeler, and coached and managed Little League Babe Ruth and American Legion baseball for 28 years. He is survived by his wife Doris; five sons, Harry (Faye) Jr., Route 2, Beaver Dam, Jim (Pam), Route 3, Beaver Dam, Wally of Beaver Dam, Randy (Sue), Beaver Dam, Richard (Darlene), Beaver Dam; three daughters, Donna Strieff, Rural Fox Lake, Sandra (Gerald) Miller, Route 4, Beaver Dam and Linda Westover, Beaver Dam; 23 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Thelma) Westover, Randolph and George (Vera) Westover, Milwaukee; four sisters, Ruth Schmidt, Beaver Dam, Mabel (Glenn) Schweden), Markesan, Clara (John) Polschinski, Beaver Dam, Louise Bigon, Jackonville, Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers. Friends may call at the Briese Roedl Weber Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and on Friday until 2 p.m., the time of service. |

Mrs. Westover was born August 17, 1919 in Fox Lake, the daughter of Ludwig and Meta (Seegert) Krueger. She was married to Harry A. Westover, Sr., August 26, 1937. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beaver Dam. She and her husband owned and operated the Milwaukee House Restaurant; managed the 1-Hour Martinizing and the Beaver Dam O-Mat; was a Nurse Aid at the Dodge County Community Health Center in Juneau, as well as the Beaver Dam Community Hospital, Inc., Hillside and Lakeview Units. She also was manager of the Vets Bar in Beaver Dam. Survivors include; five sons, Harry (Faye) Jr. Westover of Route 2, Beaver Dam, Jim (Pam) Westover, Route 3, Beaver Dam, Wally Westover, Beaver Dam, Randy (Sue) and Richard (Darlene) Westover of Beaver Dam; three daughters, Donna Strieff of Fox Lake, Sandra (Gerald) Miller, Route 4, Beaver Dam and Linda Westover, Beaver Dam; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Otto (Caroline) Krueger, Randolph and Darvin (Arlene) Krueger of Yelm, Wash.; one sister Romona (Jim) Knox, of Beaver Dam; one half-brother Edwin Krueger of Middleton, Wis.; three half-sisters, Eldora (Ernest) Wolff of Randolph, Evelyn Williams, of Cambria and Viola Hartman, Randolph; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
