FALL RIVER - Helen D. Schulz, 86, formerly of Fall River, died on Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Continental Manor in Randolph. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fall River. The Rev. James Bolda will officiate. Interment will be in the Fall River Cemetery, Fall River. Helen was born on July 7, 1916, in the town of Westford, to Sjouke and Grace (Westover) Dykstra. She was married to Willard Schulz on Sept. 2, 1987 in Fall River. Helen was a graduate of Randolph High School. She was employed at Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee for 26 years. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fall River. Survivors include one brother Bernard (Selma) Dykstra of Columbus; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Nelson; and three brothers, Eddie, Claude and Clifford. Memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. The Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus, is serving the family. |

The Daily Citizens-Feb. 8, 1977: Edward J. Nelson, 68, 344 Second St., Fox Lake, died Monday, Feb.7, at the Hillside Community Hospital, Beaver Dam, following a one year illness. He was born Jan. 14, 1909 in Pewaukee, the son of Louis Nelson and Ingborg Aherdt. He was married to Helen Dykstra Feb. 26, 1934. he lived in the Pewaukee and Milwaukee area where he had been employed by the Houghton and Hunkel Wholesale Florists. The couple came to Fox Lake after his retirement in 1971. He was a member of the Eagles Club of Beaver Dam and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Fox Lake. Survivors include his wife; one son, james, Menomonee Falls; two grandchildren; one brothers, Lester, Fox Lake; and two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Alice) Belott, Beaver Dam, and Mrs. Otto (Martha) Broderdorf, Fall River. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother in 1966; two other brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 2 p.m. from the First Presbyterian Church, Fox Lake. Rev. John Druro will officiate and burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kratz Funeral Home, Fox Lake after 3 p.m. Wednesday and at the church Thursday from noon until the time of service. |

Willard E. Schulz, 78, died on Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at his home. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. at the Jones-Jensen Funeral Home, Columbus. The Rev. James L. Bolda will officate. Burial will be in the the Fall River Cemetery with military rites by the John C. Brossard VFW Post# 2219. Mr. Schulz was born on July 7, 1921, in Fall River, the son of Ferdinand and Ida (Koch) Schulz. he was married to Helen Dykstra on Sept. 2, 1987, in Fall River. He was a graduate of Fall River High School and attended Madison Business College. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Kearney and Trecker Co., West Allis, for eight years, and Gidding's and Lewis of Madison for over 15 years. He was a lifelong resident of Fall River and member of St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Fall River. Survivors include his wife Helen; two sisters, Viola (Harvey) Austin, Madison, and Isabel (Ernie) Karow, Columbus; two step-grandchildren; four step-greagrandchildren; one step-daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Stan) Gulleckson, Sun City, Ariz; a special friend, Linda Williams of Glendale, Ariz; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Herman and Arthur; one sister, Erma Bremmer; and a step-son, James Nelson. There will be no Visitation. | ||||||||||||||||
