Herman Hopp, 78, of 1105 Rock Ave., Waupun, died May 26, at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 13, 1903, at Alto, a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Van Buren Hopp. He married Henrietta Voskuil on Sept. 1, 1927, in the town of Chester.
Hopp was employed by the Carnation Co., for 29 years and as a custodian by the National Bank of Waupun for 10 years, retiring on Sept. 13, 1972. He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun.
Survivors include his widow; son, Harold, Waupun; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; three brothers, Jake, Henry and Louis, all of Waupun; and a sister, Mrs. George (Lidia) Asmus, Waupun. A daughter and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services were May 29 at Emmanuel Reformed Church, Waupun. The Rev. Elton Van Pernis officiated. Burial followed in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun.
Visitation for Hopp was Friday at Kohls Funeral Home.
Henrietta Hopp, 85, a resident of Christain Home. Inc., 331 Bly St., Waupun, died Friday, Feb. 25, 1994, at the home.
Mrs. Hopp was born Feb. 7, 1909, in South Byron, Wis., the daughter of Bert and Minnie (Harmsen) Voskuil. She married Herman Hopp Sept. 1, 1927.
She had been employed by the Mid-State Shoe Co., in Waupun, and had later assisted her husband as custodians of the National Bank in Waupun, retiring in Dec. 1972. She was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church, Waupun, and also was a member of its Martha Circle.
Survivors include one son, Harold (Ardis) Hopp, Waupun; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Millard (Janice) Voskuil, Fond du Lac; one sister LaVerne (James) Riel, Fond du Lac.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on May 26, 1982, one daughter and three brothers.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Waupun, the Rev. Robert Hekhuis officiating. Interment was in Forest Mound Cemetery, Waupun. Visitation was held at the church Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Kohls Funeral Home, Waupun, is serving the family.
