Jacobje (Lizzie) Vant Hoff was born April 18, 1890 in Dodge County, Wisconsin, and died June 08, 1979 Palos Heights, Illinois.  She married Dirk Van Veen September 28, 1910 in Trenton Township, Dodge County, Wisconsin.  He was born January 12, 1883 Netherlands, and died May 04, 1963 Clearview Rest Home, Juneau, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Dirk (Lizzie) Van Veen, aged 89, a former resident of Waupun and presently of Palos Heights, Ill., where she died Friday evening, June 8.
She was born April 18, 1890, in Waupun the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winnard Vant Hoff. In September of 1910 she was married to Dirk Van Veen in Waupun. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Waupun area. In 1920 the couple moved to Denver Colo., where they resided for 35 years. The couple moved back to Waupun following Mr. Van Veen's retirment. In the past 10 years, Mrs. Van Veen has resided in Illinois. She was a former member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun.
Mrs. Van Veen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Neal (LaVerne) Ausema, Holland, Mich.; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death in 1963 by her husband, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Van Veen were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home with the Rev. George Chermak officiating. Burial followed at Forest Mound Cemetery.

A longtime resident of the area, Dirk Van Veen, 326 Hillyer street, was buried Monday afternoon from the Emmanuel Reformed Church.
Rev. Abraham Rynbrandt conducted the service. Burial was in Forest Mound Cemetery.
Mr. Van Veen, who was born in the Netherlands, July 12, 1883, died Saturday morning at the Clearview Rest Home, Juneau. He  Had been in falling health for a period of time. Mr. Van Veen's parents were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Van Veen.
He married Lizzie Vant Hoff in the Town of Trenton Sept. 28, 1916.
Mr. Van Veen is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Cornelius Ausma, Chicago; a grandson, Gerald Vecker, Chicago and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Van Veen lived in Waupun following their marriage until they moved to Denver, Colo., around 1920. They returned to Waupun in 1952. He was a general contractor until his retirement several years. He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church.
The Beyers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
